Overview
History: Linear Signal began as a part of an effort to design low cost antenna solutions that would allow a large apartment complex to become its own cable headend—without the requisite antenna farm. A new antenna technology was needed to satisfy certain building and municipal codes. This lead to a small exploratory team to determine the best path to a low cost phased array solution to the problem.
Positioning: Linear Signal is a low cost producer of engineering, parts, and private label or contract development and manufacturing. We anticipate no direct to end customer relationships.
Status: Our first product focus is on lowering the cost of complex analog beamforming components and electronics into highly integrated RFIC’s that leverage common, proven silicon processes. First chips (Ku band) are scheduled for private distribution to customers for evaluation in 4Q2011. Array feed (passive and active) antennas began demonstration and field testing in 2Q2011.
Organization: Linear Signal uniquely leverages outsourcing to create access to bi-directionally scalable state of the art engineering, infrastructure and manufacturing capacity. This path optimizes near term low cost and high quality production requirements.
Structure: Linear Signal is a privately held and privately funded Utah Limited Liability Company.
